To follow are the basic 7 steps you need to perform to start your first WordPress blog (or site) with Google AdSense Ads, and get it up and running:
- Choose a web hosting supplier (if you do not have one yet) for your blog or site. If the web hosting service you take out does provide automatic WordPress installation and upgrading features (like Fantastico, for instance), the better.
- Install WordPress (from wordpress.org or by the automatic web hosting procedure, if any) onto your site.
- If you do not have it yet, open your Google AdSense account on google.com and generate the Google ads script(s) for your blog/site.
- By the Appearance/Themes menu in WordPress, install your blog theme from wordpress.org (alternatively, you can manually upload from any web source, via FTP, the desired theme files).
- Insert into your blog template the Google AdSense Ads script(s) generated in your Google account. Such insertion can be achieved either by using Text widgets in the Appearance/Widgets menu of WordPress, by editing the relevant theme source files or also by using AdSense-enabling plugins.
- Write and insert your first blog post or page.
- Check out how the whole thing shows on the web and tune it accordingly, should the need be.
After you have carried out the above fundamental steps, you are free to improve your blog with further features, as soon as you grow progressively expert in that task.
